Leadership = Sacrifice.

• You eat last.
• You sleep the least.
• You carry the heaviest ruck sack.
• You take the blame and give the credit.
• You enter the danger first. You pull, you don’t push.
• You put your team before yourself.
• You will sacrifice yourself if it means the team will survive and grow.
• You make hard decisions for the greater good. The team comes first. Always.

Sometimes being out front means you take fire, get wounded, and maybe die. But so long as your cause is a good cause, a just cause it, it is worth it. Your team will honor your boldness and your sacrifice. They will fight for you. And if you have done your job someone will step into your shoes and continue the mission. They will eat last, sleep the least and carry the heaviest rucksack.
