I Want Feedback
People want feedback. No, they don't. They want to do know where they stand. They want to know they add value to the world. They want to know know what the future looks like.
Why don't more leaders ask for feedback? Because it's scary. Sometimes it hurts...but only for a little while. Give it a try. What could go wrong? Candor occurs.
Ask about the three foundations of a healthy relationship:
- Communication: Are you a good communicator? Do they feel they can be candid?
- Consistency: Are you consistent?
- Trust: Do they trust you? Do they feel you trust them? What's the worst thing that happens? Do you learn something that makes you better today than yesterday?
